 The Meaning of Space

London, U.K, Winter 2020

This work is the final presentation of my MFA choreographic project. focused on perceptional space and sensorial spatiality. The research investigates the potentiality, meanings and semiotics of spaces visually and aurally constructed to inform the body' s experience. Starting with the idea of space as a visual-cognitive and unidimensional extent, the study examines, questioning what space is, the sensorial layers of spatiality and the role of the body in its interaction within the external organisation and its interpretation.

Boys Don’t Cry

Sardegna, Italy, Summer 2020

This residency was born with the need to connect the choreographic practice with my roots and to open my work towards a different audience. This work explores the meaning of masculinity, questioning how male stereotypes shape the transformation and the role of men. Within the practise, the research places the role of the masculine energy on the same level of the feminine in order to silence their contrast and discover the human complexities and vulnerabilities.
